We are now in the era of INTERVENTIONAL ENDOCRINOLOGY, when the world of hormones -messengers- is being investigated in order to determine their place in the search for youth. This "Age of Endocrinology" has evolved as a result of dramatic advances in medical science - highly sensitive laboratory methods of measuring hormones in the blood, the discovery of new hormones with wider parameters of activity, methods of mass production of hormones in the laboratory - hormones which until recently were available in very limited supply.
