Dalam pengantarnya, Fisher menginginkan bahwa pengajaran tentang bagaimana berpikir ini seyogyanya menjadi misi bersama sekolah. Buku ini berupaya mencari cara untuk membantu anak-anak mencapai potensi belajar maksimalnya, baik dalam konteks sekolah maupun hidup sehari-hari.
