CHAPTER 23

AN ACT making appropriations for the maintenance and repair of improved state and county highways, and roads on Indian reservations.

Became a law February 18, 1925, with the approval of the Governor. Passed, three-fifths being present.

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1. The several amounts named in this act, or so much Approprithereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated from any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, together with any accrued interest on unexpended balances while in the hands of county treasurers, to be expended in accordance with the provisions of chapter thirty of the laws of nineteen hundred and nine, as amended, being the highway law.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.

BUREAU OF HIGHWAYS.

DIVISION No. 1.

For the maintenance and repair of state and county highways, including personal service; division expenses other than personal service; highways to be resurfaced either by contract or directly by the department; highways to be surface treated either by contract or directly by the department; highways to be reconstructed either by contract or directly by the department; repair of wooden trestle bridge over South bay, Lake Champlain, on state route number forty-eight, Washington county; general maintenance of the Southern Boulevard viaduct on state route number three, Albany county; changing location of grade crossing on highway number eight thousand one hundred thirty-one, Saratoga county, and for general maintenance and repairs in the counties comprising division number one. The following amounts to be made immediately available for the purposes herein indicated: Albany county, two hundred twenty-seven thousand, two hundred forty-three dollars. and fifty cents ($227,243.50); Essex county, three hundred fiftyfive thousand, three hundred sixty dollars and fifty cents ($355,360.50); Greene county, ninety-two thousand, five hundred eightyfive dollars and fifty cents ($92,585.50); Rensselaer county, one hundred sixty-six thousand, two hundred forty-three dollars and fifty cents ($166,243.50); Saratoga county, ninety-nine thousand, seven hundred sixty dollars and fifty cents ($99,760.50); Schenectady county, ninety thousand, five hundred ten dollars and fifty cents ($90,510.50); Warren county, one hundred eighty thousand, nine hundred thirty-five dollars and fifty cents ($180,935.50); Washington county, ninety-five thousand, three hundred ten dollars and fifty cents ($95,310.50).

The following amounts to be made immediately available for the purposes herein indicated: Fulton county, one hundred sixty-six thousand, six hundred thirty-six dollars ($166,636.00); Hamilton county, forty-nine thousand, nine hundred sixtyone dollars ($49,961.00); Herkimer county, two hundred thirteen thousand, seven hundred seventy-seven dollars ($213,777.00); Madison county, two hundred eighty-three thousand, four hundred twenty-eight dollars ($283,428.00); Montgomery county, seventynine thousand, five dollars ($79,005.00); Oneida county, five hundred twenty-one thousand, six hundred ninety-three dollars ($521,693.00).
