In Board of Aldermen, Monday, Feb. 9, 1857.

The Committee on Paving would respectfully ask for an additional appropriation of Thirteen Thousand dollars, to meet the expenses incurred in removing snow and ice from the streets, and for labor performed on the streets, in leveling snow and picking up ice.

At a meeting of the Committee on Ordinances, held February 8, 1857, it was

Voted, That the within Ordinance be printed for the use of the Committee and City Council.

AN ORDINANCE

In relation to the Bonds of City Officers.

Be it ordained by the Aldermen and Common Council of the City of Boston, in City Council assembled, as follows:

SECTION 1. The City and County Treasurer, the Auditor, the Harbor Master, the Surveyor General of Lumber, the Superintendent of Public Buildings, the Superintendent of Public Lands, the Superintendent of Strects, and the Superintendent of Internal Health, shall give a bond to the City of Boston, in the form following, to wit,

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that

of the City of Boston, in the County of Suffolk, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as principal, and of said Boston, as sureties, are held, and stand firmly bound and obliged unto the City of Boston aforesaid, in the sum of

dollars, to be paid to the City, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly, by these presents. Dated this in the year of our
