Per item No. 4 of Treasurer's account, MERIDIAN BELL. For the information and accommodation of the Citizens, the 22 Fire Alarm Bells are struck once at noon. The greatest care is taken to secure the utmost accuracy as to the time, for which purpose a telegraphic communication with the Cambridge Observatory has been established.
