The House of Industry and the Houses of Reformation, and Almshouse, at Deer Island, for Boys and Girls; the House of Correction for the County of Suffolk; and the Boston Lunatic Hospital, at South Boston, are under the care and government of a Board of Twelve Directors, one-half of whom are chosen annually, by concurrent vote of the City Council.

This Board is composed of the following persons, and is entitled
