• Contracts may be terminated on April 1, 1919, if City Council votes and Mayor approves.

If rate to regular consumers is reduced to a price less than 80 cents per M., a rebate will be made to the city at the rate of 12 cents per lamp per year for each 1 cent the price is so reduced below 80 cents per M.

*Lighting rates for the electric lamps are as shown on next page.

A discount of 10 per cent is allowed from above rates.

A deduction at the rate of 1 cent per hour for lamps of 100 candle power or less and 5 cents per hour for all other lamps is allowed for all outages.

The above are new prices which became effective on
February 26, 1918, by decision of the Gas and Electric

Light Commissioners.

Rebates for the preceding years, to the amount of
$147,746.25, were deducted from bills paid in 1918 to
the Edison Electric Illuminating Company.

*These walks are guaranteed by a surety company bond for five years from date of completion, and were laid on various public streets where the contractor had agreements with the abutters. The price twelve (12) cents per square foot is equivalent to the expense to the city of one half the cost of a brick sidewalk.
