To ensure that individuals have notice about how their personal info. is handled when they visit Fed. Web sites, the OMB issued a memo requiring Fed. agencies to post privacy policies on their Internet Web sites and provided guidance. It requires agencies to post privacy policies that: clearly and concisely inform visitors to the Web sites what info. the agency collects, why it is collected, and how it will be used; and are clearly labeled and easily accessed when someone visits a Web site.
