43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagoges, and greetings in the markets.

44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be born, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your father killed them.

49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.

52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye enter in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

சங ஐயோ பரிசேயரே உங்களுக்கு வேதனைவரும். எ னத்தினாலெனிற் செப ஆலயங்களில் முதலாசனத்தையுஞ் சந்தைகளில் வாழ்த்துதலகளையும்விரும்புகிறீர்கள்.

சச ஐயோ வஞ்சகராகிய வேதபாரகரே பரிசேயரே உங்களுக்குவேதனைவரும். என்னத்தினாலெனிற்காணப்படா

தபிரேதக்குழிகளைப்போலிருக்கிறீர்கள்.மனிதர் அவைகளை யறியாமல் அவைகளமேலே நடக்கிறார்களென்று சொல்லு கிறபொழுது,

சரு நியாயசாஸ்திரிகளிலொருவன அவரைநோக்கிப் போதகரே நீர் இப்படிச்சொல்லுகிறதினாலே எங்களையும் நிந்திக்க றீரேயென்றான்.

சசு அதற்கு அவர்சொன்னது. ஐயோ நியாயசாஸ்திரி களாகிய உங்களுக்கும் வேதனைவரும். என்ன மிகவு: பாரமான சுமைகளை மனிதர்கள் மேலே ற்றுகிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் தாமே உங்கள் விரல்களிலொன் ம னாலும் அந்தச் சுமைகளைத் தொடமாட்டீர்கள்.

சஎ ஐயோ உங்களுக்குவேதனைவரும். என்னத்தினாலெ னில் உங்கள் பிதாககளாற் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்ட தீர்க களுடைய பிரேதக்குழிகளின்மேலே திண்ணையைக்கட றீர்கள்.

சஅ உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்தபின்பு நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய கல்லறைகளின்மேல் வீடுகட்டுகிற படியால் நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாக்களுடையகிரியைகளுக்கு சம்மதிக்கிறவர்களெனறு சாட்சிகொடுக்கறீர்கள்.

சகூ ஆகையாற் பராபர னுடைய நானஞ்சொல்லுகிற தாவது. நான் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் அப்பே போஸ்தலரையும் அவர்களிடத்தில் அனுப்புவேன். அவர்களிற் சிலரைக்கொ லைசெய்து சிலரை லரைத்துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

ருய உலகத்தோற்றம்முதற்கொண்டு ஆபேலினிரத்தந் தொடங்கிப்பலிபீடத்துக்குந் தேவாலயத்துக் ம நடுவே அழிக்கப்பட்ட சகரியாவினிரத்தமவரைக்குஞ் சிந்தப்பட டசகலதீர்க்கதரிசிகளுடைய இரத்தமும் இந்தச்சந்ததியி னிடத்திலே கேட்கப்படும்படிக்கு அப்படிச்செய்வார்கள். ருக இந்தச்சந்ததியினிடத்திலே அதுகேட்கப்படுமென று நிச்சயமாய் உங்களுக்குச்சொல்லுகிறேன்.

ருஉ ஐயோ நியாயசாஸ்திரிகளாகிய உங்களுக்கு வேத னைவரும் என்னத்தினாலெலை அறிவின் திறவுகோ காலையெடு த துககொண்டுபோனீர்கள். நீங்களே உட்பிரவேசிக்கவில்லை.

53 And as he said these things unto them, the the Scribes and Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

CHAPTER XII.

1 Christ preacheth to his disciples to avoid hypocrisy, and fearfulness in publishing his doctrine: 13 warneth the people to beware of covetousness, by the parable of the rich man who set up greater barns. 22 We must not be over careful of earthly things, 31 but seek the kingdom of God, 33 give alms, 36 be ready at a knock to open to our Lord whensoever he cometh. 41 Christ's ministers are to see to their charge 49 and look for persecution. 54 The people must take this time of grace, 58 because it is a fearful thing to die without reconciliation.

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closest shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:

ருச அநேக்காரியங்களைக்குறித்து அவர் பேசும்படி மிக வும் அவரை நெருக்கமாய வினாவித்தநதிரமாயக்காத்திருந் து அவருடையவாய்மொழியிலே தப்பிதங்காணப்பார்த்தா

((க) வஞ்சனைக்கு இடங்கொடாமற் பராபரனுக்குமாத்தி ரம்பயந்து கிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கையிடுகிறதைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியது.(யங) பொருளாசையைக்குறித்து அவர் உவமையைச்சொன்னது. (உஉ) கவலைப்படாமற கருத தாவினமேல நம்பிகசையாயிருக்கும்படி புத்திசொன்ன து. (ஙங) இருதயத்தின் பொக்கிஷத்தைக்குறித்துச்சொ ல்லியது.(கூரு) விழித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி சொல்லியது. (சக) உண்மையுள்ள உக்கிராணக்காரனைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியது (சக) தாம் உலகத்திலேவந்ததற்குக்கார ணத்தைச்சொல்லியது. (ருச) காலத்தை நிதானிக்கிற தைக்குறித்துச்சொல்லியது.(ரு அ) எதிராளியுடனே ஒப புரவாக்கப்படுவதைக்குறித்தது.)

அத்தருணத்திலே அநேக ஆயிரஞ்சனங்கள் ஒருவரை யொருவர் மிதித்துக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாகக் கூடிவந்திருக்கிற பொழுது அவர் தமது சீஷருடனேசொன்னதாவது,பிர தானமாய் நீங்கள் வஞ்சகமாகியபரிசேயருடைய புளிப்புள் ளமாவுக்கு இடங்கொடாமலெச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

உ வெளியாகாதமறைபொருளும் அறியப்படாத அந் தரங்கமும் ஒன றுமிலலை.

ந அப்படியிருக்க, நீங்கள் இருளிற் பேசினதெதுவோ அது வெளிச்சத்திலே கேட்கப்படும். நீங்கள் அறைகளிற் காதுக்குட்சொன்னதெதுவோ அது வீடுகள்மேலே பிரசங்

கிக்கப்படும்.

ச அல்லாமலும் என்சிநேகிதரான உங்களுக்கு நான் சொல்லுகிறதாவது, சரீரத்தைக்கொலைசெய்தாலும் அதி ன்பின்பு அதிகமொன்றும் உங்களுக்குச்செய்யத் திராணி யில்லாதவர்களுக்குப்பயப்படாதிருங்கள்.

ரு நீங்கள் பயப்படத்தக்கவர் இன்னாரென்றுங்களுக்குக்

Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you

?

15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
