REPORT. THE Board of Directors for Public Institutions herewith submit their Thirteenth Annual Report. Attention is invited to the accompanying reports of the superintendents of the several institutions, which present a satisfactory view of the condition of each. The financial statements also exhibit an accurate and minute detail of the expenditures, which have been prepared with great care. The tabular form renders the information to be obtained comparatively easy, by a simple reference to the various statistical forms in which it is presented. The expenditures for the financial year have been as follows, viz : Expenses of Superintendent to Staunton, Va. $89 35 63 75 Of this amount the sum of $10,097.23 was expended in remodelling and refitting the "Cottage," and erecting fire escapes, and the sum of $5,628.74 in repairing damage and replacing property destroyed by fire on the morning of December 25th, 1869, making the current expenditures for the year $60,185.65. |
