PREFACE. A CHEERING greeting, gentle reader, is all we have to give thee, as we have treated so fully of matters Ecclesiastical during the past six months, as to leave us nothing to add in this place, as a general resumé. We must, therefore, content ourselves with thanking those gifted friends whose contributions have graced our pages, and afforded instruction and amusement to our readers. We venture to say that the assistance of the authors of the Kings of England and of Wayfaring Sketches, C. A. M. W., Aunt Nelly, and H. T., is one of which we may be, as we are, justly proud. On this we felicitate ourselves, whilst we congratulate all Churchmen on the progress which, day by day, our principles are making. W. B. F. Parsonage, Kings Kerswell, May 25th, 1852.
