The room in which they dined was the upper ftory of one of the towers of the schoolhouse. All the glafs windows, except one, and the doors alfo, were clofed. Immediately after dinner, about nine o'clock, Mr. B. rofe from his chair, and was feen by a gentleman prefent, who fuppofed the open window led to the main terrace of the building, to ftep over the low railing of that window. No othor perfon observed this circumstance. About a minute after, fome one afked, Where is Mr. Bradley? Thefe were foon realized-for, defcending with the utmost hafte into the area below, he found the mangled corpfe of his friend, who à few minutes before was in perfect health, engaged in interefting converfation refpecting a mercantile fpeculation. The writer of this article is certain, from his knowledge of Mr. Bradley's pecuniary cir cumftances, his ftrength of mind, the compofure with which he rose from his feat at the fatal moment, that his death was purely accidental, and that he only defigned to go out upon the terrace of the houfe, when? the unfortunate accident, took place."
